CYBER-COMEDY ‘LIFE HACK’ WILL DIGITALLY STREAM THIS MAY

LIFE HACK // NORTH OF TWO
“Highly recommending” – Film Snob Reviews.

Los Angeles, CA – May 6, 2019 – You never know who is watching or listening to what you do online. With a click of a button, your life may change forever.

From Writer/Director Sloan Copeland (Synapse, Unreal, Wet Behind the Ears), LIFE HACK (2017) is a 15-time award winning humorous cautionary tale about the cyber threats faced in today’s digital age.

“There’s a subtle brilliance in the nuance of some of the jokes while commenting on something that I think is relevant to any and all of us with a computer or Smartphone,” wrote Film Snob Reviews

From North of Two and Self Conscious Entertainment, LIFE HACK follows hacker turned corporate security advisor, Charlie (Derek Wilson), who must help his friend Bobby (Dylan Pinter), as he’s dealing with blackmail from an Internet hacker. Threatened with secret footage of himself engaging in self-love / masturbating, Bobby also turns to Jack (Michael Giese) to help uncover the computer criminal. Simultaneously, actress Carolyn (Jessica Copeland) is also suddenly hacked, suspecting the culprit to be Alex (Doug Roland). But unfortunately for Carolyn, not only is her usage of digital privacy violated, but also her entire life savings is stolen. Desperate to get the money back, Carolyn turns to her friend Charlie for help. These hackers now have access into the lives of Bobby and Carolyn, ready to reveal their previously-thought to be secured information: passwords, identities and their darkest secrets.

“A comedy wrapped in the package of a cyber-thriller,” wrote Silver Screen Analysis during San Diego International Film Festival 2017, when LIFE HACK was awarded ‘Audience Choice – Best Narrative Feature’.

With an engaging and humorous plot, LIFE HACK exposes the social relevance and Internet influence in modern day society by showcasing true-life scenarios of hacking, IP tracing and the overall concern that our privacy is compromised. In today’s internet-obsessed age, it could happen to anyone – even you.

LIFE HACK premiered June 3, 2017 at the Brooklyn Film Festival, receiving award for ‘Best Screenplay’. The cyber-comedy continued successfully on the festival circuit, racking up 15 award wins and 14 nominations. Accolades are not limited to: ‘Best Film’ (Def Con 2017), ‘Best Cinematography’ and ‘Best Story’ (Long Island International Film Expo 2017) and ‘Best American Independent Feature Film’ (Cleveland International Film Festival 2018).

“There’s a great balance of computer-related tech talk and relevant, cautionary warnings about digital privacy. There are interesting shakedowns of potential suspects and lessons about karma. It’s got a little bit of everything,” wrote Lolo Loves Films.

North of Two will exclusively release LIFE HACK onto various digital streaming platforms on May 13th (Amazon, FlixFling, Vudu, Hoopla, Vimeo on Demand and more). Watch the official trailer for LIFE HACK here: https://teaser-trailer.com/life-hack-movie-trailer/.
