The Center for Human Capital Innovation (CHCI), a leading workforce, leadership and strategic consultancy firm, recently announced the hire of Dr. Jeffrey S. Weaver as their new Senior Executive Consultant.

An Impressive Resume with the Right Experience to Back it Up

Dr. Weaver comes to CHCI with over 30 years of human resource and human capital experience, including 12 years of collegiate level teaching, spanning undergraduate to doctoral level learners.

Weaver’s work in the field of education and human capital management well-positions him to hit the ground running with CHCI, leveraging his expertise to hit benchmarks and deliverables for clients.

Expectations of His Role at CHCI

In his new role, Weaver will be responsible for consulting with clients on strategies and tactics that improve the overall agility, learning, and efficiency of their respective workforce.

It is Weaver’s hope that his capacity as a strategic management consultant will provide him with the opportunity to help CHCI assist federal agencies develop better talent management operations. In conjunction with these agencies, Weaver hopes to develop associated federal workforces into an increasingly agile, better prepared and efficient operational units.

Personal and Career Highlights

Career

Dr. Weaver has extensive experience serving both contract companies and federal agencies, holding such titles as Senior Advisor to the Army Chief of Staff, Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO), and Vice President for Human Capital.

In his capacity as an educator, Dr. Weaver supports the University of Baltimore, where he teaches both in-person and online classes for the Merrick School of Business and serves as the Chair of the Adjunct Faculty Advisory Council.

Education

He attended Park College (now known as Park University), pursuing the discipline of Human Resources Management while serving active duty for the U.S. Army.

Weaver continued his education, later receiving a graduate degree in 2004 from Central Michigan University in the field of Business Administration. Rounding out his educational endeavors, Weaver earned his doctorate degree in 2008, after attending Capella University, studying Organizational Management; specializing in leadership, his dissertation was entitled, Comparative Study of Leadership Competencies of the top 1% of the U.S. Army Leaders.

Military Service

Dr. Weaver served 15 years on active duty for the U.S. Army, separating in 2003 to pursue his civilian career. After a short intermission from the armed forces, Weaver eventually retired from the U.S. Army Reserve in July of 2016.

Personal Life

Weaver is the proud father of two daughters, and a loving husband of 29 years. He is also a doting grandfather of two wonderful grandchildren whom he looks forward to seeing grow and follow their own paths in life.
