The South Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) Awards Nitya Capital CEO Swapnil Agrawal with the 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

The South Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC), a Houston based non-profit organization whose mission is to build community through business and foster relationships between South Asian entrepreneurs and professionals within the broader Houston community, hosted their 25th Anniversary Gala on October 24th, 2018 at the Crowne Plaza Northwest-Brookhollow where they awarded Nitya Capital’s CEO, Swapnil Agrawal, with the 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Houston, Texas – Nov 12th, 2018 – The South Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) presented the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award to Swapnil Agrawal at their 25th Anniversary ‘Houston Strong’ Gala last week. Agrawal is the CEO of Nitya Capital and the Managing Partner of Karya Property Management.

The SACC Entrepreneur of the Year Award seeks to honor those up and coming movers and shakers in the industry. The recipient of this award has demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurial spirit, strategic business thinking and is quickly becoming regarded as a leader in their field. “The Chamber’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award is presented to those individuals who have demonstrated an entrepreneurial character, verified business growth, an innovative and creative vision for the future, as well as community service involvement” said Sohail Hassan, SACC’s President. “And this year’s awardee is certainly fitting of these characteristics,” said Hassan. Agrawal started in 2013 despite having no experience in owning a business and using only his personal funds. Since its inception, the company has grown to include over $1.5 BN in total assets, includes ownership and management of more than 14,500 units throughout Texas and 250,000 sq. ft of commercial office space and today employs over 500 people

Aside from the achievements in the corporate world, Agrawal has also invested his time in social work. He sponsors two schools located in Agra and Lucknow, India. The schools mainly focus on providing free education to the under privileged children. Furthermore, he supports Smile Foundation, an NGO in India directly benefitting over 600,000 children and their families every year, through more than 250 live welfare projects on education, healthcare, livelihood and women empowerment, in over 950 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India.

The SACC proudly presents the ‘Entrepreneur of the year’ award to Swapnil Agrawal, in recognition of his personal and social achievements.
